Electric Vehicle Charging
The use of electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles is growing strongly; the numbers of charging points installed has grown 7 fold over the last six years and is forecast to grow by 10 times in the next 5 years. The current percentage of new cars registered each year which are electric or hybrid is 2%, this is forecast to rise to 10% in 2022 and we are committed to helping deliver the infrastructure in order to meet this growing demand.

If you own an Electric Vehicle you are eligible to apply for the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) which provides grant funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle charge points to your domestic property.
Workplace Charging
The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides support
towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points,
for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organizations.
On-street Residential Charge point Scheme
The On-street Residential Charge point Scheme (ORCS) provides grant funding for local authorities towards the cost of installing on-street residential charge points for plug-in electric vehicles.
